Welcome to Coil Africa (“Coil”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a proprietary digital platform designed to connect users with businesses, provide data insights (including fuel price intelligence), and enable digital interactions across multiple sectors within Africa.
By accessing or using our website and mobile application (collectively referred to as the “Platform”), you (“User”, “you”, “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms of Use.
We understand that legal documents may appear lengthy or complex; however, it is important that you carefully review these Terms before using the Platform. If you do not understand any part of this agreement, you are encouraged to contact us for clarification. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.
1.1 Scope and Application
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Platform, including all services, features, content, and functionalities made available through Coil Africa. These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including visitors, registered users, business partners, and any individual or entity interacting with the Platform in any capacity.
1.2 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, registering on, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use and agree to comply with them fully. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms.
1.3 Breach and Enforcement
You acknowledge and agree that any violation of these Terms may result in enforcement actions, including but not limited to restriction of access, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, or legal proceedings where applicable.
1.4 Amendments
We reserve the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. Where such changes materially affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via the Platform or other communication channels. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
1.5 Refusal of Use
If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must refrain from accessing or using the Platform or any of its services.
2.1 Nature of Services
Coil Africa provides a technology-driven platform that enables users to access aggregated business data and interact with vendors across different industries. These services include, but are not limited to, business discovery, fuel price tracking across filling stations, analytics and insights, and digital tools that support business operations and consumer decision-making.
2.2 Role of the Platform
The Platform acts strictly as an intermediary technology layer that aggregates, displays, and facilitates access to information and services provided by third-party businesses (“Vendors”). Coil does not manufacture, own, or directly supply the goods or services listed on the Platform unless explicitly stated.
2.3 Vendor Independence
All Vendors listed on the Platform operate independently of Coil. Coil does not exercise control over their pricing models, inventory, service quality, regulatory compliance, or operational decisions. As such, any engagement, transaction, or reliance on Vendor offerings is solely between the User and the Vendor.
2.4 Data Aggregation and Accuracy
The Platform may display data such as fuel prices, product availability, or service details, which are obtained from a combination of Vendor submissions, third-party integrations, automated systems, and user-generated inputs. While we strive to ensure accuracy and timeliness, Coil does not guarantee that such data is always current, complete, or free from errors.
2.5 No Warranty on Services
Coil makes no representations or warranties regarding the availability, reliability, quality, legality, or suitability of any Vendor offerings or data presented on the Platform. All services are provided strictly on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
3.1 Availability
While we aim to maintain consistent access to the Platform, we do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from technical faults. Scheduled maintenance, system upgrades, or unforeseen issues may result in temporary downtime.
3.2 Technical Risks
You acknowledge that the use of digital platforms inherently involves risks, including but not limited to system failures, cyber threats, and data transmission issues. Coil shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from such risks.
3.3 User Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary internet access, compatible devices, and software required to use the Platform. Additionally, you must ensure that any person accessing the Platform through your account complies with these Terms.
4.1 Eligibility
The Platform is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding agreements under applicable laws.
4.2 Account Creation
To access certain features, Users are required to create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including but not limited to their name, email address, phone number, and location details.
4.3 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity conducted through your account will be deemed to have been authorized by you. In the event of unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately.
4.4 Accuracy of Information
You agree that all information provided during registration and thereafter is accurate, current, and not misleading. You further agree to update such information promptly when necessary.
4.5 Verification Rights
We reserve the right to verify your identity and request additional documentation where necessary. Failure to comply with such requests may result in account suspension or termination.
5.1 Nature of Data
Fuel prices and other business-related data displayed on the Platform are aggregated from multiple sources, including Vendors, third-party providers, and user contributions.
5.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy
Given the dynamic nature of pricing and market conditions, Coil does not guarantee that any data displayed is accurate, real-time, or complete.
5.3 User Responsibility
Users are advised to independently verify critical information, particularly pricing and availability, before making decisions based on such data.
6.1 Payment Processing
Where the Platform facilitates payments, such transactions are processed through third-party payment service providers. Coil does not store or control payment credentials beyond what is necessary for transaction facilitation.
6.2 Accepted Payment Methods
Payment methods may include digital wallets, debit or credit cards, bank transfers, QR payments, or other methods introduced from time to time.
6.3 Transaction Responsibility
All financial transactions conducted via the Platform are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective payment providers. Coil shall not be liable for failed, delayed, or disputed transactions caused by third-party systems.
7.1 Ownership
All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including software, content, trademarks, logos, and design elements, are owned by Coil Africa or its licensors and are protected under applicable laws.
7.2 Restrictions
Users are prohibited from copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, or reverse engineering any part of the Platform without prior written consent.
8.1 Scope of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coil shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Platform.
8.2 No Liability for Vendor Actions
Coil shall not be held responsible for the actions, omissions, or performance of Vendors listed on the Platform.
8.3 Data Reliance
Any reliance on data provided through the Platform is at your own risk.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coil, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13.1 General Provision
Coil Africa may, at its sole discretion, create and distribute promotional codes, discount offers, referral incentives, cashback rewards, or other promotional benefits (collectively referred to as “Promotional Codes” or “Promo Codes”) which may be redeemed for discounts, reduced pricing, service credits, or other benefits related to the use of the Platform and its Services. These Promo Codes may be subject to additional terms and conditions communicated at the time of issuance, including but not limited to validity periods, eligible services, geographic limitations, and user eligibility criteria.
13.2 Nature of Promotional Codes
Promo Codes are issued as a privilege and not as a right, and they do not constitute legal tender, stored value, or a form of currency. Promo Codes have no cash value, are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash or monetary equivalents under any circumstances.
13.3 Usage Restrictions
By accepting or using any Promo Code, you agree to comply with the following conditions:
13.3.1 Intended Use — Promo Codes must be used strictly for their intended purpose and in accordance with applicable laws, these Terms of Use, and any additional conditions specified by Coil Africa at the time of issuance.13.3.2 Non-Transferability — Promo Codes are personal to the User to whom they are issued and may not be duplicated, sold, auctioned, transferred, or otherwise made available to third parties, whether publicly or privately, including but not limited to posting on forums, social media platforms, or coupon-sharing websites.
13.3.3 Platform Integrity — You must not engage in any activity intended to manipulate, abuse, or exploit Promo Codes, including but not limited to creating multiple accounts, using automated systems, or exploiting system vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized benefits.
13.3.4 Compliance with Terms — All Promo Codes must be used in accordance with the specific terms governing each promotion, including expiration dates, usage limits, and applicable services.
13.4 Expiry and Deactivation
Promo Codes are time-bound and may expire prior to use. Coil Africa reserves the right to deactivate, suspend, or invalidate any Promo Code at any time, without prior notice, where:

Coil Africa reserves the right to withhold, reverse, deduct, or cancel any discounts, credits, or benefits obtained through Promo Codes where it reasonably determines that:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coil Africa shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from:

Coil Africa reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any promotional campaign or Promo Code program at any time, without liability, provided that such changes will not affect validly redeemed benefits prior to such modification, except where fraud or abuse is involved.
These Terms remain effective until terminated by either party. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access where necessary to protect the integrity of the Platform or comply with legal obligations.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
In the event of a breach, Coil reserves the right to take appropriate action, including account suspension, termination, and legal enforcement where necessary.
